the firing of howard jordan and the chief manage error. earlier, the police department released reports regarding the shooting of alan back in may. the attorney says the reports shows the shooting was unjust. >> last words, no weapon in his hand, no weapon him at the time that the officer approached him and shot him while on the ground why did you do this? i didn't do anything. and he died. >> they want the district attorney to prosecute the officer. oakland police say the teen was shot because he was reaching for a gun. >>> hayward police officer shot and killed a suspect after he reportedly reached for a weapon while inside a stolen car. it happened yesterday near the intersection of breyer gateway and vanderbilt before 11:15 a.m. police say the officer approached the car that had been reported stolen. he asked the man to show his hands. the suspect then refused and instead reached for a weapon. prompting the officer to open fire. neighbors say it happened too close to tree view elementary school. >> it's sad, just really sad, they would do it so close to a school. >> we did lock down

. it is 7:26 on this saturday, october 6th. i'm richard jordan. topping your news today virginia state police are investigating an accident that killed one of their own along route 30 outside kings dominion last night. police say the trooper was directing traffic for people leaving the state fair when an suv hit him. he was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. police are expected to release the trooper's name later today. >>> people in fairfax county have more time to pay personal property taxes. annual car tax payments were due last night by midnight but the website that accepts the payments kept going down so officials say they fixed the problem and now pushed the deadline back to midnight tonight. to pay your car tax online head to fairfax county.gov/dta. take away his toys and he'll play with a stick. take away their bikes and they'll still find a way to get where they're going. but if take you away early childhood education... slash k-12 funding... and cut college aid for middle class families ... they won't go far. yet that's exactly what mitt romney wants to do... ...to pay

been a concern. i mean, we've seen these shells land in lebanon and jordan, but not quite to the same effect. turkey is a key by the way, of the syrian rebels. been quite open in its support for them. many of them do seem to have some sort of refuge in southern turkey, that particular border area where much of it kind of under rebel control if you take out of the equation the syrian regime air power. i think the concern really is we're now seeing this exchange of fire suggesting that the turkish and syrian military are almost facing off against each other. is this going to continue? we have not seen the syrian apology, and syria almost cried to blame rebel groups, terrorists perhaps behind some of these shells. an unwillingness i think for both sides to accept a step back perhaps, and certainly turkey very keen to show that it will not tolerate any more syrian aggression. turkey is a nato member here, so the consequences of this escalating are very great in deed. >> nick, thank you. >>> as the fighting rages on, an ex-patriot syrian doctor is back in safetism jim clancy that is detail
